Legal Update: Joint Prakas on the Exemption of Public Service Fees of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction
Issue: No. 008P/23– 26 May 2023
On 22 May 2023, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (the “MEF”) and the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (the “MLMUPC”) issued a Joint Prakas No. 312 SHV/BrK.ATCH on the Exemption of Public Service Fees of MLMUPC (the “Joint Prakas”).
According to the Joint Prakas, some of the public service fees listed down in the Joint Prakas No.356 MEF.BrK dated 26 March 2019 on the Provision of the Public Services delivered by MLMUPC and Joint Prakas No.492 MEF.Brk dated 10 August 2021 on the Additional Public Services delivered by MLMUPC shall be exempted, which is detailed as follows:
- The provision of construction and land development principles, issuance of construction permit and construction permit over the limitation of Floor Area Ratio for the construction of private hospital, private school, and affordable housing;
- The initial registration on a private part of the co-ownership building for the affordable housing development project; and
- The issuance of Initial Measurement Certificate for the surveyor who is a civil servant.
