In the event that the debtor breaches their obligation, the creditor may exercise their rights according to legal procedures and may petition the court to apply the pledged item toward fulfilling the debt repayment, based on an evaluation of the pledged item&#8217;s value under conditions set by law. Crucially, the creditor must give prior notice to the debtor regarding their claim before proceeding with further legal action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summary, a pledge does not mean that the creditor automatically gains the right to take the debtor&#8217;s property.
