Mr. Sohy is a Legal Advisor of Corporate, Commercial and Investment Practice Group at Sithisak Law Office.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES
Prior to joining Sithisak, Mr. Sohy worked as in-house legal counsel in a multinational Japanese company where he has learned and understood the corporate world and business from a legal perspective. He has also handled and been involved in drafting and reviewing employment contracts in compliance with Cambodian labor law and dealing with both contentious and non-contentious matters between employer-employee & employee-employee relations. He also assists the company in drafting and reviewing several legal agreements and documents relevant to the company’s business.
Being part of Sithisak, Sohy focuses on labour compliance matters, financing matters, company restructuring and M&A, and other commercial matters. He conducts various contract reviews including but not limited to loan and security documents, shares transfer/shares subscription agreements, shareholder agreements, cooperation/partnership agreements, and other commercial agreements for clients, etc. He also has a specialty in corporate compliance which he assists clients in business registrations and applying for various licenses/permits/approval.
As a fellow in cohort 3 of the global scholarship program of DLA Piper, one of the largest global Law firms, Sohy has done a lot of research on various topics and attended many international training programs conducted by experienced lawyers and experts such as the intensive trainings at DLA Piper Head Quarter and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
He speaks Khmer and English.
