As part of our continuing commitment to legal education, we were honored to serve as a sponsorship partner of the East Asia & Oceania Regional Round of the 22nd John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition (JHJMCC), hosted by the National University of Management (NUM) from 9–13 March 2024 in Phnom Penh.

The John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition is one of the world’s most prestigious academic events in international trade law, organized by the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) with technical support from the World Trade Organization (WTO). The competition attracts participation from more than 100 teams across 40 countries, providing law students with a platform to argue complex legal issues concerning international trade and dispute settlement before panels of distinguished judges and practitioners.

This year, we were especially proud that Dr. Chhak Limchheang and Mr. Tong Lin from Sithisak Law Office were selected to serve as judges, offering their expertise and mentorship to participating teams. Their involvement reflects our firm’s belief in giving back to the legal community and guiding aspiring professionals in developing their advocacy, analytical, and reasoning skills.

The event was a remarkable convergence of WTO representatives, ELSA members, trade specialists, legal practitioners, and senior government officials, creating an enriching environment for both learning and networking. By sponsoring and contributing to this initiative, Sithisak Law Office underscores its dedication to enhancing Cambodia’s presence in international legal discourse and promoting high standards of advocacy among law students.
