On December 23, 2025, our lawyer, Mr. TRY Bakleang, a member of Sithsak Law Office, had the honor of attending the meeting announcing the composition of the task force for the Implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Bank of Cambodia and the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

This task force was established with the objective of implementing the contents of the MoU between the National Bank of Cambodia and the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia, signed on November 27, 2025. The purpose of the MoU is to enhance the effectiveness of the enforcement of laws and regulations in the banking sector and/or to define measures for strengthening and expanding the scope of training, as well as the dissemination of civil law and other laws and regulations related to the banking sector, in order to ensure consistency and effectiveness in law enforcement.

After the conclusion of the meeting announcing the composition of the task force, the task force also held discussions on the action plan for 2026, during which four priority objectives were identified, namely:

1. To organize regular meetings with the aim of providing input and recommendations on regulations related to the banking sector;

2. To jointly organize seminars between the two institutions;

3. To open discussions on challenges in the practice of the legal profession within the banking sector; and

4. To participate in other relevant meetings.
